Photography Projects
Welcome to my portfolio for my photography projects in the Graphic Design Program at Iowa State University, where I focus primarily on the art of photo taking and image editing processes.
"Forgotten" Movie Trailer Project
Project Description:
In this project I was tasked with creating a fake movie trailer with a theme of my choice. In this video, which is titled "Forgotten", I created a plot comprised of two sisters, where one loses the other to an accident and is healing by reminiscing over the past and remembering how things used to be. I showcased this theme not only through the footage and audio I used, but also through the various techniques I utilized in After Effects and Premiere Pro, such as color correction, video overlays, and audio editing effects.

Lucid Dreams Movie Poster
Project Description:
For this project, I created a movie poster for a fictional movie of my creation. The genre and plot of this poster is centered around a psychological thriller, where the main character is not able to tell dreams from reality, and because of that her life is fragmenting and falling apart. I decided to tell this story through various design choices I used for the poster, such as a glitch effect laid over top of the portrait image as well as the grain. The paper over top of the character's mouth is used to signify the main character slowly being silenced due to her mind fragmenting and the inability to determine truth from fiction. The typographic choices explored in this project allude to the thriller aspect of the genre, and utilize more handwritten and scratchy fonts in order to create this effect.

The Stress of College Education and Debt Zine
Project Description:
In this zine project, I explored storytelling through photography by playing with the editing of the images to create and maintain a specific story and express a message directly to my audience. My overall theme being one that is especially crucial to college students, as I express the dangers that college education and debt can have on one's mental health, and the debilitating stress that it can leave in its wake. I created this feeling throughout my zine, as I made an extremely chaotic layout with numerous overlapping and converging images to really express the "messy" nature of the stress of debt and its impact. Through the creative process of the formation of this zine, I showcased my knowledge and experience with photo-editing in a more graphic and creative way, as well as in understanding page layout and the transition from digital work to a physical print.
