Project Description:
For this project, I was tasked with creating a ligature for a commonly used suffix or prefix, that could be used and brought into a commonly used serif typeface. For this concept, I decided to go with the suffix -less, and went ahead and made this ligature with the modern serif typeface of Didot. This was a complicated project for me, as staying true to the thicks and thins of Didot was difficult, while still allowing for all of the letters in the ligature to be legible. In the end, I was pleasantly surprised with this project, and enjoyed creating something new that could be used in everyday text.
